Obituary

Frances Handy Foster, 84, of Ruffin, NC went to be with the Lord Saturday June 3, 2017 at Annie Penn Hospital.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Mac McDowell officiating. The family will see friends in the fellowship hall of the church following the service.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Joe S. and Elva Light Handy and had lived in the Bethesda Church Community of Caswell Co. most of her life. She was a home maker and a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder, had been a member of the church choir, and was very active in the Women of the Church. Mrs. Foster was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was a very talented artist and musician. She was preceded in death by brothers, Gordon Handy and Lindell Handy and by a sister, Dorothy “Toots” Burgess.
Surviving is her husband of 64 years, J. D. Foster of the home sons, Bill Foster (Gwen) of Ruffin, Andy Foster (Ginny) of Providence, & Mitch Foster (Lynn) of Ruffin, brother, Wayne Handy (Marjorie) of Greensboro, grandchildren, Katherine Parrish (Austin), Lindsey Strader (Ryan), Andrew Foster (Kelly), Josh Foster (Taylor), & Justin Foster (Sammantha), great grandchildren, Gavin Foster, Lana Parrish, Landon Strader, Levi Strader, Willow Foster, & Charlotte Parrish.
