Ronald Steven “Steve” Pillar, II, 50 of Reidsville, NC formerly of Graham, NC passed away at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday August 22, 2017 in Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Strader officiating.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of Butch and Carolyn Hobbs Pillar and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a former employee of Daymark, and most recently he had lived in Graham, NC, where he was employed at Residential Treatment Services of Alamance, Inc . Steve was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School and received a B.A. Degree from Elon College. He enjoyed helping people.
Survivors include: his parents: Butch and Carolyn Pillar of the home, brother: Billy Pillar and wife Trina of Reidsville, nieces: Meagan Pillar and Morgan Pillar of Reidsville, and special friends: Brittaney Leigh and Holly Hoover.
The family would like to thank Dr. Edward Hawkins and his staff, Penn Nursing Center and Hospice of Rockingham County for their support, love, and care.
There will be no formal visitation.
The family will see friends at the home of his parents: Butch and Carolyn Pillar 1113 Barnes St. Reidsville, NC

This is just so sad. Steve was such a funny and sweet person. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's always difficult to lose a loved one but it's especially tragic to lose them so young. I lost someone very dear to me some years ago and what brings me some comfort during those especially hard days is to reflect on the promises found in the Bible. John 5:28,29 says there will be a resurrection and Revelation 21:3-5 speaks of a future time when all suffering will cease to exist, including sickness and death. It's my hope that these promises bring you as much comfort as they have brought me. Please accept my sincerest condolences. JW.org

I am so sorry for your loss. Sreve and i were best friends i worked at social services and he worked at mental health we always did birthdays both in april and christmas. i will miss him so very much my prayers are with your family at this time, debra wilson
