I worked with Sam at NC Gas in the late 1960's. There was no better guy than Sam! He was dependable, trustworthy, and so funny....I can see him laughing now. He was a great man to work with and to learn how to repair appliances. The last time I saw him was at the beach and he had a net out catching fish. I asked my Mom about him just a couple of weeks ago while he was hospitalized. He will be missed by all that knew him.
