Clyde Edmund Hopper

Clyde Edmund Hopper, 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point.

A graveside service with Military Rites by the Rockingham Co. Veteran’s Honor Guard and N. C. National Guard will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Christi Taylor officiating.  The family will see friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45PM before the funeral on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Citty Funeral Home.

The son of the late Harold Edmond and Ruth Marie Walker Hopper, he was a native of Reidsville but had lived in Eden for the last half of his life.  Mr. Hopper was a retired supervisor at the American Tobacco Co. and was a proud US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed cooking, auctions and antiques, going camping, and loved working outdoors.  He was preceded in death by his parents and by his twin sister:  Clyda H. Hutton.

Surviving is his daughter:  Brittaney Leigh of Greensboro and his special friend:  Faye Stewart.
